Valerie walks in and is a little scared but takes a deep breath and is no longer shy, for she knows what she must do.

Simon sat at the judging table, as a girl entered the room. So far, talent was screaming through the audition room and its feel still lay within the walls of it. But that didn't mean it was going to last. This girl, hopefully, would be a brilliant talent and his ears would still be ok to continue with auditions.
Simon, without smiling one bit, said to the blonde girl, "Hello. Tell us your name, what you'll be singing and you may start." Simon hoped this girl would be good. He wasn't going to be happy if she ended up being a no talent.

Smiles at Simon for she can NOT believe that she is here and says, "Hi I am Valerie Ginder and I am going to sing Put Your Records on by Corinne Bailey Rae" She takes a deep breath and sings in the powerful voice she naturally has, Three little birds, sat on my window. And they told me I don't need to worry. Summer came like cinnamon So sweet, Little girls double-dutch on the concrete.
Maybe sometimes, we've got it wrong, but it's alright The more things seem to change, the more they stay the same Oh, don't you hesitate.
Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song You go ahead, let your hair down Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams, Just go ahead, let your hair down.
You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow.
Blue as the sky, sunburnt and lonely, Sipping tea in the bar by the roadside, (just relax, just relax) Don't you let those other boys fool you, Got to love that afro hair do.
Maybe sometimes, we feel afraid, but it's alright The more you stay the same, the more they seem to change. Don't you think it's strange?
Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song You go ahead, let your hair down Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams, Just go ahead, let your hair down.
You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow.
'Twas more than I could take, pity for pity's sake Some nights kept me awake, I thought that I was stronger When you gonna realise, that you don't even have to try any longer? Do what you want to.
Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song You go ahead, let your hair down Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams, Just go ahead, let your hair down.
Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song You go ahead, let your hair down Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams, Just go ahead, let your hair down.
Oh, you're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow
And she waits for Simon's comments

"Valerie, you have a good voice, I'm just worried about you because that was really underwhelming after the past auditions I've seen," Simon said, "It was pitchy in some places and it just was missing something. I feel you can fix the problem, but if you make it, you've got to fix it soon or else because I just got blown away by, like, 3 people in a row and right now, you are not up to their level."
Simon leaned back and took a sigh. This girl had something, she just didn't display it in her performance. Maybe this competition might be a great experience and teach her things. Or it might be something really hard that she couldn't handle. Simon seen made up your mind.
"You are going to Hollywood because I feel you have it, but you barely missed it. Go get your yellow ticket. Congratulations," Simon said.
(Congrats! You may move into the hotel and start practicing for the Hollywood round.)

Smiles,"Thank you so much!" She promises to work harder than ever because this means so much to her. And she takes her ticket and goes to the hotel
